Questions before you order.

We clarify the important details before production starts.

How do IML and screen printing differ?

IML integrates a label with the surface during moulding for extensive, wear-resistant decoration. Screen printing is applied to the finished bucket and can suit smaller quantities.

Can buckets carry our company logo?

Yes. IML, offset and screen printing can add logos, artwork or full designs.

Which material suits chemicals?

Select material according to substance, concentration, temperature and contact time. HDPE or PP compatibility must be confirmed for the specific product and container.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum depends on dimensions, material, printing and production method. Include your required quantity; the exact minimum is confirmed in the quotation.

When will my order arrive?

Include your required arrival date. Production and delivery timing are confirmed after the specification and artwork are agreed.

Project preparation

Capacity, material, closure and printing requirements are defined before production. Plastrum helps select IML or conventional printing and coordinates the project from specification to delivery.

Plastic buckets and containers: choosing material and printing

Plastic buckets with lids and handles are durable, versatile packaging for food, chemicals and agricultural products. Capacity and custom printing can be selected for the project, with material and decoration matched to the product’s requirements.

PP or HDPE?

PP, polypropylene, is a standard food and industrial packaging material for many applications. HDPE compatibility with chemicals and cleaning products must be checked against the substance, concentration, temperature and contact time. Food-contact-certified grades are available in both materials; recycled-content options depend on the project.

Capacity and construction

Capacities range from 0.5 to 33 litres, in round or square shapes. A suitable snap-on or press-fit lid provides a tight closure, reinforced handles aid carrying and stackable designs improve storage and logistics. Required leak-tightness is confirmed for the selected container and contents.

IML and branded plastic buckets

IML, in-mould labelling, integrates the label with the bucket during moulding, providing extensive decoration and abrasion resistance. Alternatives include dry offset and screen printing, as well as partial printing covering approximately 50% of the surface to help manage cost. Logos and custom artwork can use CMYK or Pantone colours according to the process.

Applications

Food manufacturing, including sauces, dairy products and salads, needs food-contact materials and suitable tight closures.

Hospitality and catering use buckets for packaging and professional kitchen applications.

Construction and paint manufacturing need robust containers compatible with their contents.

Chemicals and cleaning products need packaging matched to the formulation and conditions of use.

Agriculture and horticulture use durable buckets for packaging and suitable reuse applications.
