04 / Good to know
We clarify the important details before production starts.
A reinforced die-cut handle is cut directly into the bag material and supported by an added patch. A soft loop handle is a separately attached plastic component.
Choose appropriate thickness, dimensions, handles and welded seams. Load capacity should be assessed by testing the finished bag: the HDPE or LDPE designation alone does not determine its strength.
Yes. Flexographic printing in up to 6 colours can add a logo, artwork or a full design.
The minimum depends on dimensions, material, printing and production method. Include your required quantity; the exact minimum is confirmed in the quotation.
Include your required arrival date. Production and delivery timing are confirmed after the specification and artwork are agreed.
A technical overview of reinforced die-cut handle bags: materials, construction, printing options and lead times.
Dimensions, material, thickness, construction, colours and print specifications are agreed before production. This ensures the solution meets both the technical requirements and the desired visual result.
A reinforced die-cut handle bag, also known as a patch-handle bag, differs from a soft loop handle bag because the handle opening is cut directly into the bag material rather than attached as a separate component. Reinforcement around the opening increases load capacity and provides a more stable carrying experience. Simple construction and added reinforcement work together to create practical, attractive packaging.
LDPE has an optimum thickness of 50 microns, with options from 35 microns depending on the project. It stretches more and gives a softer, premium feel suited to clothing stores and gifts. HDPE, from 50 microns, is stiffer and better suited to heavier loads, making it an option for supermarkets and larger purchases. Both are available with recycled feedstock as Re-LDPE and Re-HDPE.
An internal patch reinforces the handle opening, improving durability and helping prevent tearing under heavier loads. An optional bottom gusset increases capacity when products need more space. Inside printing can also be added to suit the project.
Flexographic printing in up to 6 colours and the Pantone colour system provide consistency, including on large runs. Printing is possible on the front and back, with artwork extending partly onto the side gussets. Logos and custom designs strengthen brand visibility at every customer interaction.
Retail and clothing stores choose reinforced handle bags for their smart appearance and improved load capacity.
Supermarkets use HDPE versions for larger, heavier shopping loads.
Premium products and gifts need packaging that supports the product’s visual quality.
Trade fairs and campaigns use these bags when packaging must be both practical and visibly branded.
Unprinted stock bags start at 250–500 pieces. Flexographic production starts at 2,000 pieces. Custom dimensions and thicknesses start at 2,000–10,000 pieces.
